Desert Landscape at Sunrise

Hello Little Legends

As you know, school is closed for the next week due to the ongoing bushfires. For your safety, we are going to be continuing class online.

We are going to continue learning about how living things depend on each other to survive, focusing on ecosystems.

You’ll be investigating:

  • How food chains work and what they show us about the connections between living things.

  • What animals need to survive in their habitats.

  • The features of a marine ecosystem.

  • What can happen to our ecosystem if we no longer have trees.

Use the materials and resources provided to watch, play, listen and explore each topic. At the end, complete the activities to show your understanding.

Let's get started!! Watch the instruction video on this page to guide you.

Our Learning Objective

Students will develop an understanding of how living things depend on one another to survive within ecosystems. By investigating food chains, the specific needs animals have to survive in their habitats, the dynamics of marine ecosystems, and the consequences of losing trees, students will explore the interconnections in nature. They will learn how changes to one part of an ecosystem can impact many other living things.
